Community Developers, Inc. (“CDI”) was established in 1992 by Getz Obstfeld as a development and consulting firm specializing in affordable and special needs housing. CDI focuses on the development of housing and businesses in the poorest inner-city communities, including Central Brooklyn and the South Bronx in New York City. The firm also provides strategic planning, capacity building and fund development for non-profit organizations. CDI is widely known for its ability to successfully tackle the most difficult urban problems in a way that builds community and energizes neighborhood residents.

About Getz Obstfeld

Getz Obstfeld founded Community Developers, Inc. in 1992 and currently serves as its President/CEO. Mr. Obstfeld brings to CDI over thirty-five years of experience in the management of not-for-profits and for-profit organizations and the development and management of low and moderate income housing. He has developed over 3,000 units of housing for homeless, low and moderate income families, including rental, homeownership, and cooperatively-owned housing.
